Two-truncated stem design with roll-hardened upper stem threads and specially hardened lower stem surfaces Grease on the upper stem threads is segregated from the system media, and the nonrotating lower stem has an up-and-down motion in place of rotating up and down, which reduces wear on the packing on each stroke and reduces friction between the seat and the head. Reduces friction between seat and head. 

Valve has back seal function in fully open position.
